The weather has finally warmed up and I think it is here to stay. Although we have had a much better winter in South Carolina than our neighbors up north, it was still cold and dreary here for much longer than we would have liked. Fridays I get off at noon and usually go pick Luna up sometime around 1ish. So we have the whole afternoon together. And, this weekend I knew she would be spending a night with my mom Saturday night, so I wanted to make the most of my time with her.
Saturday morning we all woke up pretty early and had a great pancake breakfast. We have started using the Kodiak Cakes pancake mix and really love that. We then loaded up and went on a long walk around our neighborhood. Our neighborhood has a beautiful lake that has a gazebo and walking trail so we spent a little time down there playing. We then headed back up to the house and put Luna down for her nap.
After my mom scooped Luna, Austin and I worked around the house and then got ready and headed for Atlanta to see one of our favorite comedians, Bill Burr. We had such a great night out and even got to sleep in on Sunday.
Such a great date night out. Although, it is hard to leave our sweet baby, we know it is something we have to do in order to model a good marriage for her and baby #2. Which is something that is really important to both of us. And a little quality time together is a great way to keep our communication and bond strong.
Such a great weekend with our little growing family and we are loving the outdoor time we get now. I know it will be 100 + humidity here soon, so we are trying to soak up the beautiful weather while we can.
