This month, I am really taking the time to focus on goals and goal setting.  I am trying to create a few different aspects and breaking my goals down into very manageable portions.  Often times, I get overwhelmed and feel I try to take on entirely too much too fast and that ends up in burnout and not completing even one task.  So, here we can have a place for accountability for our goals.

Personal-

Goal 1 – Create a morning routine.  I want to start getting up at 6 a.m.  Like out of bed, up at 6, not hitting snooze for the 6th time that morning.  Having a six month old, sleep is often times so hard to come by, so I value it.  But, having a little extra time in the morning to curl my hair, put on makeup, have a second cup of uninterrupted coffee, blog, whatever it is I chose to do, would be so nice.  To accomplish this goal I will be starting with 10 minutes per week earlier.

Goal 2 – Blog more.  I want to start creating something outside of working and coming home that I can do for me.  I love having this little space and want to start utilizing it more.  To accomplish this goal I will be blogging twice a week.  Consistency is key here.

“Business”-

Goal 1 – Etsy.  I have started a tiny Etsy store of my own and really want to put a lot of focus into that this month.  I have a whopping one item in my store as of now, but for this month I am going to work on getting at least ten items in my store by the end of the month.

Health/Fitness – 

Goal 1 – Run, run, run.  I am finally at a place where I feel I have a little time and with the weather cooling off, I feel like I can run for at least 30 minutes on my lunch break, which is awesome now.  So, I am committing to running at least 3 days a week.  I have been on a RunKeeper plan for beginning runners and I am going to finish that and start a new plan for training.  I will finish that plan this month.

Goal 2 – Back to healthy eating.  Running at lunch provides me time to do meal planning/prepping and cooking at nights.  It is something I can do that I really enjoy and helps out my family.  Through October, I am going to accomplish every Sunday doing my planning for the following week.  *I will do a dedicated post on this this week as well.

  1. Ohh I admire you for wanting to step up at 6am! I would leave the makeup ect just for an extra hour to sleep but honestly I had no choice because when my daughter was 6 month old she woke up very early every morning! I hope that you will manage to reach your goals…if not all atleast some of them!❤️

  2. I like the idea of starting an Etsy shop. I’m going to look into doing that. Creating a morning routine is key to starting off my day on the right foot.

  3. I like that you set a monthly goal – it does help to break it up. Are you training for a race or running for fun? Running is my preferred form of exercise as well. To me it’s therapeutic.

    1. Thank you! Running is also my preferred exercise as well. I have run for several years and done a good many half marathons and one full marathon. I am struggling getting back into it post baby though. I am training for a race! I have a half marathon in February that I am struggling to even build back my base!   4. Those are some great goals. I am not a morning person, so I such at waking up early. But I love the thought of waking up early and enjoying my coffee, blogging some, or even watching one of my trash tv shows. Just something to incorporate more me time, because once the kids are up, it’s all about them.
